Graduate Degree Programs
UT Arlington offers 76 master’s and 35 doctoral degrees in nine different academic areas: Architecture, Business Administration, Education and Health Professions, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Nursing, Science, Social Work and Urban & Public Affairs.
Faculty
Many of our faculty are recognized nationally and internationally for their teaching skills, research expertise, and community service. Work with graduate advisors like Dr Venkat Devarajan, this year’s recipient of the Graduate Dean’s Award for Excellence in Doctoral Student Mentoring, and Melanie McGee, is this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Academic Advisor Award for Graduate Advising.

I Engage
The Office of Graduate Studies offers seed grants to graduate faculty at UT Arlington to develop or modify graduate courses to include an intellectual engagement component. Find more information on the I Engage program including the RFP, descriptions of previously funded projects and due dates.
GAANN Fellowship Program
In 2009, the Departments of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering, and Physics in partnership with the Office of Graduate Studies, received $1.4 million in federal grants from the US Department of Education through the Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Fellowship Program. This program supports exceptional doctoral students who demonstrate financial need in fields deemed critical to the US.

Et Cetera, the Office of Graduate Studies Academic and Professional Enrichment Series, presents workshops, lectures, and other events to support your academic and career development.
Go Electronic!
Beginning in the Fall of 2009, all theses and dissertations must be submitted electronically; We will no longer be accepting them as paper documents. Also, graduating students can now apply for graduation online.
ACES
The ACES (Annual Celebration of Excellence by Students) symposium is a university-wide, day-long event that showcases the best of students’ research and creativity.
Invest in the Graduate School
Many opportunities exist to establish named scholarships, faculty professorships, faculty chairs, fellowships, and lecture series events that publicly acknowledge an individual or corporation’s support of Graduate Studies at UT Arlington.
