Graduate Degree Programs

UT Arlington offers 74 master’s and 30 doctoral degrees in nine different academic areas: Architecture, Business Administration, Education and Health Professions, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Nursing, Science, Social Work and Urban & Public Affairs.

Faculty

Many of our faculty are recognized nationally and internationally for their teaching skills, research expertise, and community service. Work with graduate advisors like Dr Venkat Devarajan, this year’s recipient of the Graduate Dean’s Award for Excellence in Doctoral Student Mentoring, and Melanie McGee, is this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Academic Advisor Award for Graduate Advising.

I Engage

IM Program

The IM Program provides funding for doctoral and doctoral-bound students to gain teaching and mentoring experience by serving as a research mentor to a UT Arlington undergraduate.

I Engage Seed Grants Program

The Office of Graduate Studies offers seed grants to graduate faculty at UT Arlington to develop or modify graduate courses to include an intellectual engagement component.

Graduate Stimulus Scholarship

In response to the ongoing economic downturn, UT Arlington announces the 2010 Graduate Stimulus Scholarship competition, designed to help new doctoral and doctoral-bound graduate students begin their studies in Fall 2010.

GAANN Fellowship Program

In 2009, the Departments of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering, and Physics in partnership with the Office of Graduate Studies, received $1.4 million in federal grants from the US Department of Education through the Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Fellowship Program. This program supports exceptional doctoral students who demonstrate financial need in fields deemed critical to the US.

ACES

The ACES (Annual Celebration of Excellence by Students) symposium is a university-wide, day-long event that showcases the best of students’ research and creativity.
