Objectives
   The program in Health Care Administration is designed to provide graduate students an integrated, contemporary, and multidisciplinary education. Diverse topics are integrated into the curriculum, research and residences to provide:
1. An understanding of the modern health industry
2. Knowledge, skills and abilities to assume
    administrative roles in various organizations in
    the health industry
3. Opportunities to develop leadership skills
4. Interactions with diverse specialists in the
    health industry to evaluate and resolve
    administrative problems
5. Competence in an elective area of professional
    focus

Admission
   All admission requirements established by the Graduate School at U.T. Arlington and published in the Graduate Catalog are general requirements for all admissions. In addition, students without prior interdisciplinary work may be required to complete leveling courses, as prescribed by the Committee on Graduate Studies. Some applicants may be admitted conditionally. Unconditional admission requirements include:
1. A baccalaureate degree in an appropriate
   discipline.
2. An overall GPA for the final 60 (approximately)
    hours of undergraduate course work of at least
    3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
3. A satisfactory total score, verbal score plus
    quantitative score, on the Graduate Record
    Examination.
4. An applicant whose native language is not
    English must have received a score of at least
    575 on the Test of English as a Foreign
    Language or a score of at least 40 on the Test
    of Spoken English for Assistants.
5. Favorable letters of recommendation from
    persons familiar with the applicant's academic
    work.

Degree Requirements
   The M.S. Degree in health Care Administration requires 42 hours of course work for the core courses, advanced courses, integrative seminar and residence.

Prerequisite and Deficiency Courses
   For an applicant holding an appropriate bachelor's degree, the degree program may not require deficiency courses. Course prerequisites must be met before enrolling in any advanced course. Deficiency courses for the program are:
