The Careers Class is designed to help graduate students in all disciplines:
Measure their career assets and preferences. Evaluate their career options and prepare a plan on how to advance their career. Learn of available UTA career services and how to use them. Develop critical skills for succeeding in the immerging work environments. Assist in the development of broad leadership capabilities.
The specific tasks accomplished in this class include:
Complete an extensive self-assessment module to measure your personal profile. Explore the alternative cultures available in your career field and learn how to analyze them. Select a career environment that is compatible with your personal profile. Learn important mentoring and networking skills. Learn how to research companies and industries for career concerns. Evaluate options and plan for life goals.
