U.S. Citizen Applicants

International and U.S. Resident Alien Applicants

Admission of U.S. Citizen Applicants

  1. Eligibility into the Graduate School requires:
    • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or its foreign equivalent, with a satisfactory grade-point average;
  2. To apply to The Graduate School requires:
    • Properly completed application for admission.
    • Payment of the non-refundable application evaluation charge. 
      - Submit payment of $30.00 if you are a U.S. Citizen and HAVE NO foreign college or university work.                                    
      - Submit payment of $60.00 if you are a U.S. Citizen and HAVE foreign      college or university work.
    • One, but preferably two copies, of official U.S. or foreign country transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
  3. Graduate Program Admission Criteria:
    • Satisfactory academic standing at the last institution attended.
    • Demonstration through previous academic performance of the potential for graduate work in the chosen field.
    • Since specific program requirements vary, contact the individual Graduate Program for full information. Admission to a doctoral program also requires among other program specific criteria, completion of a master's degree or 30 semester hours of graduate courses.

Admission of International and U.S. Resident Alien Applicants

  1. Eligibility into the Graduate School requires:
    • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or its foreign equivalent, with a satisfactory grade-point average
  2. To apply to The Graduate School requires:
    • Properly completed application for admission.
    • Payment of the non-refundable application evaluation charge.
      - Submit payment of $30.00 if you are a U.S. Resident Alien WITH NO foreign college or university work.                                    
      - Submit payment of $60.00 if you are a U.S. Resident Alien with foreign college or university work.                                                                   - Submit payment of $60.00 if you are an international applicant.
    • One, but preferably two copies, of official U.S. or foreign country transcripts or marksheets and diplomas from all colleges and universities attended.
  3. Graduate Program Admission Criteria:
    • Satisfactory academic standing at the last institution attended.
    • Demonstration through previous academic performance of the potential for graduate work in the chosen field.
    • Since specific program requirements vary, contact the individual Graduate Program for full information. Admission to a doctoral program also requires among other program specific criteria, completion of a master's degree or 30 semester hours of graduate courses.
  4. Immigration/Financial documentation:
    • Submit completed Financial Forms
    • Financial documents can be submitted after you have been recommended for admission. However, it is better to submit financial documents with the application package itself to minimize any possible delay in receiving your official notification of admission.
