I Engage

Intellectual engagement: the term used to describe activities that allow students to bring their disciplinary training and intellectual capital to bear on problems in the community, region or nation.

I Engage Grants are offered each year to graduate faculty at UT Arlington to develop or modify graduate courses to include an intellectual engagement component.

The purpose of the I Engage Seed Grant is to increase the number of graduate courses at UT Arlington that provide opportunities for students participate in a mutually beneficial partnership with an external organization in which the student may directly participate, experience and observe a course's conceptual and theoretical content in real-world setting.

I Engage funds are available to faculty who wish to develop a new graduate course that includes an intellectual engagement component, add an intellectual engagement component to an existing graduate course or improve upon an intellectual engagement component that already exists within a graduate course.
