Monster’s Diversity Leadership Programs will bring together top business leaders and a select group of culturally diverse college students. The weekend will provide students an opportunity to build practical business skills in a dynamic and interactive weekend format.

In 2000, Chuck Knippen, DLP’s Program Founder and Manager, developed the initial vision for the Diversity Leadership Program: to create a unique learning environment for the nation’s top students of diverse background. A place where industry-leading employers would meet with tomorrow’s leaders, bridging that critical gap between college and the entry-level career. The vision included the nation’s most outstanding parties: motivated and talented students, top employers, experienced, energetic facilitators and inspirational keynote speakers. Students would spend a weekend with like-minded student leaders, learning practical work-life skills like resume writing and networking.

The format would be fun, interactive and entertaining, building on Chuck’s belief that students learn best when they are enjoying themselves. For the sponsoring companies, Chuck envisioned a weekend unlike any other recruiting event: access to the brightest students, in a natural, dynamic setting. This would not be your average leadership conference. While promoting an important cultural goal, this program would be and serve the best of the best.
