Work Study Program
The Federal Work Study (FWS) program based on financial need enables graduate students to defray a portion of their educational expenses with part-time work earnings. FWS jobs are available both on and off campus, and have the following in common:
- You may work up to 19 hours per week to earn up to the full amount of your FWS award.
- You will be paid twice monthly for the actual hours you worked.
- The award amount indicated on your Award Letter is a maximum eligibility to earn, and FWS awards are not credited to your student account.
- Receiving an FWS award is not a guarantee of employment.
More information about FWS jobs is available through the Human Resources Office.
