Graduate Scholarships
Besides exploring the scholarships presented here, you should also contact your academic program for information on graduate scholarship opportunities available through your department, college or school.
Please note, scholarship awards may impact student loans. If you have or plan to obtain a student loan, check with the Financial Aid Office before accepting any type of scholarship.
Cindy Atha Shira Simcha “Pay It Forward” Scholarship
The Cindy Atha Shira Simcha “Pay It Forward” Scholarship fund has been established to support graduate students who have completed all or a majority of their preparatory education in a country outside of the United States who are enrolled in Music-Graduate Certificate in Performance with a Voice Concentration, Psychology or the College of Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. The 2009-2010 scholarship, which begins in the Fall 2010 semester, provides recipients $500 in both the Fall and Spring semesters and qualifies them for resident tuition rates.

Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of WTS Scholarship
To encourage women to pursue careers in transportation, the Great Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of WTS awards a $1,500 scholarship to one graduate student and a $1,000 scholarship to one undergraduate student.
Myra Sadker Foundation Doctoral Dissertation Award
This award was designed to promote and support graduate students engaged in educational equity research. Doctoral level dissertations that explore or promote educational equity and fairness based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, class, sexual orientation, or other such variables will be considered for support, at a level of $2,000 a year.

Ralph H Rodick Sr Mentoring and Leadership Scholarship
Each of these annual scholarships lasts two years and is awarded at the beginning of the fall semester of each academic year. These scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, books and other college-related expenses. Recipients will be expected to conduct research in the area of mentoring and leadership, to present their research locally and nationally, and to publish their research in scientific journals.

ROTC Scholarships for Graduate Students
These scholarships are available to full time students enrolled in ROTC. To apply, you must be a US citizen and medically qualified, with a GPA greater than 2.5.
Trudy and Ben Termini Graduate Student Research Grant
The Office of Graduate Studies, through the generosity of philanthropists Drs Trudy and Ben Termini, is accepting applications for travel awards from the Trudy and Ben Termini Graduate Student Research Grant. These awards provide funding to help meet the travel costs associated with either conducting research and/or creative activity, or presenting research at professional meetings.

Wanda J Schafer Graduate Scholarship
The Wanda J Schafer Graduate Scholarship was established in 2002 by the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of WTS to encourage women to pursue career paths in transportation. This scholarship is awarded to women pursuing graduate studies in transportation or a related field.
